I leased mineral rights back in Sept 2004 for land I own in Red River Parish. Comparing my lease to the sample oil and gas lease at the bottom of the main discussion page shows basically the same lease verbage. Lease term was for 3 years. Lease maintaining beyond the initial term is standard if well drill, production, etc. No options for renewal listed.

Attached is the lease, with the names of the innocent, potentially innocent, and potential idiots removed.

There is a well shown on Sonris (Serial # 230512) that has produced in the past and is part of the Hosston formation, but does not appear to be producing any longer. I never received any royalties on this particular well.

Basic question is I am not sure if the lease is still in force, or am I free to lease again.

Your thoughts are appreciated!
