SWAMO Gathering Part II
Hello everyone , We have tentatively set the date for our next meeting for the 14th of August on a Thursday evening.We haven't decided for certain where we will be holding it as of yet . We are conserned about the lack of room we had at our first meeting due to the rather large crowd we had , making it somewhat uncomfortable in the building. I will give you the info updates as they become available. If you have contacted me in the past about helping or would like to help at this next meeting please e-mail me at swamo@yahoo.com. Our website is up I believe although not completed as this will continue to be a work in progress. I would like to thank Lisa T for all the hard work she has put into this site. The website is swamoinfo.com . We are fixing to order signs in the next few days. If you would like a sign please leave your info at contact page on our new website under your township number.One of the section leaders will get back in touch with you as the info becomes available.
I look forward to seeing all of you at the meeting. I promise not to be shocked this time if its standing room only.Please be patient with us. There is work going on behind the scenes that you have no idea about . There are many people putting their personal lives on hold for the benefit of this and surrounding areas.If you are ready to be a positive part of this exciting endeavor , we encourage you to come and be a part! If you can't be positive , stay home! We want everyone that wants the best for themselves and their families to get exactly that.We will attain that goal with teamwork and determination on everyones part. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Stand strong beside your friends and neighbors.
This is a meeting geared toward letting people know who and what SWAMO is. We will have a membership opportunity following the meeting if you pass certain criteria and are on the same page as this group. We aren't looking for pure numbers , we already have those. We are looking for the ones that will stand with us to force O&G's to pay us a fair price for OUR minerals , not the scraps that they are trying to pay right now.If you are unsigned and uninvolved with another group we want you on board.People currently in auction house deals will be given a chance to join after their dates expire.We have not nor will we begin negotiations until we are all ready and able.If you are in a big hurry you will get your feelings hurt. Speed kills in this play. Ask anyone that signed 2 months ago if they are still happy about their decission to sign.9 out of 10 would swap places with you if they had the chance because this thing is just getting started.Please don't make the same mistakes that many of our friends and family members made by being in too big of a hurry or believing it was all fixing to go away and leave them with nothing. That propaganda has cost this area alone , millions of dollars already.If you are ready to sign a lease today , then this group probably isn't for you. Thank you and have a great day.

Just a quick question for those that plan to be in attendance. What do you need from this meeting Thursday night ?
This group isn't about one person or one group of people , its about all of us. We need to know from the masses what we can do to help our area people out. I may have an idea but if it doesn't jive with what you need then I haven't done my job. Please feel free to comment because thats exactly why I am posting this question.

I am on bellevue road which is north of I-20 and I am wondering if I am going to be in this or not. I know someone who lives on Cross Lake who has had an offer of $15000 an acre and 25% royalty, and that seems pretty far north to me. Has anybody north of the interstate and west of Dixie Inn been approached about leasing (since that describes where I am)? Do I qualify for this group? Or do I need to get into the other one?

Sure we would love to have you. We are having a meeting at 6:30p.m. at Doyline High school, come listen to who we are. We are no fee group that believes everybody should recieve all there bonus money and royalties. If we don't sound like the group for you, we understand there is no pressure. -

We don't live on our property in Webster Parish so this is the first that I have heard of your meetings. I would like to be a part of your group though.
