Nothing to get too excited about Susie though the Hawk is getting close. The Petrohawk unit on the Hamel property along Clyde Fant is the closest current activity to Town South. And may be within drilling distance of Town South. At this time there is little serious activity by any other operator in your part of SE Shreveport.
There are signs along Stratmore that Chesapeake will be leasing the area soon.
I have been contacted by Twin Cities concerning leasing my minerals recently. I am a little north of you in Broadmoor. Chesapeake has no drill sites in our part of SE Shreveport that I am aware of. Petrohawk does. Energy companies regularly seek leases in area that they have no commitment to develop. If CHK does have a drill site then they are in competition with HK for leasehold. Don't pay any attention to signs. And don't get in any hurry to sign a lease until one or the other receives a unit order for your section and permits a HA horizontal well.
gossip has it that CHK has made a deal on a tract along the parkway for drilling locations.
Baron, if that rumor is true it could get a little competition going with HK. Competition between the two would be good for mineral owners.
Susie - Which neighborhood do you live in?
Town South Estates - West of Youree
I have a house in Town South also. Twin Cities sent us a letter last week saying, "We look forward to setting up a meeting with you to discuss all of the possibilities that the Haynesville Shale can potentially bring your family as well as your community". I never called the number on the letter.
Cheap lease with five+five year terms!
Brian - Then there is an organized homeowners' association in that neighborhood that both you & Susie can contact. Congrats & good luck!

:0)
Don't really think that would be good.
Petrohawk also has signs up in that neighborhood. A pad is being prepared about 2 miles south on hwy. 1 in the corn field.
