Thanks again Natch; very fun picture, Weatherman, thank you, too!
Victor, new to our site posted last night another picture of the messenger well for all to see.

Thanks,

I'm skeptical. Victor's photo could be ANY gas well being flared. Weatherman's photo, however, is much easier to verify, as it places the flare in context with the surrounding area.
Check out the nightime photo titled "Messenger" posted by Vince last night.
if that is truly the messenger well up close it looks impressive to me who knows nothing of what a well should look like

I hope that is the Messenger. Looks like a pretty good well. And we have to realize that if it is the Messenger, this production would have to be from a vertical well. Which I would think would make it more impressive. Wonder what it would do as a horizontal?
great point...i read somewhere that the messenger well numbers should be posted on sonris this week at some point...looking forward to that finally..

Can't wait to see that also. We really need some cold hard facts.
i couldn't agree with you more...we are all good at taking a wait and see approach..

i just read this comment on the LOAG Haynesville Shale Q &A site from Gifford Briggs..

I know that there has been in a successful well drilled in Nachitoches Parish, but im not sure of its location. I also know that there is ongoing seismic testing in the area as well.

the only well i know of is the messenger..like i said we've got to wait and see

I called the source that assurred me Messenger would be re permitted to horizontal. He is in the process of finding out what happened because if the well was flamed, that meant they had fraced it for sure. We are checking to see if that information could be a second well! I don't think a fraced well can be drilled horizontal, how about it one of you smart guys that know more about it?
Pat there was a guy on this site that did in fact comment on another well to the north of the original that would be HZ. It for a better lack of proper naming would be the 2nd Messenger well. So, if what you have said is true and they have fraced the first well and when that happens can't go HZ on that well then more than likely and this is all an assumption but i'd deduce that the HZ permit will be on the second well. Which is great news also!
