John Frazier at (318) 213-9258. Very reputable and honest.
Don't forget...very expensive and willing to bill.
? All attorneys invoice, don't they? I used him for our lease and found him actually, quite reasonable!
I'm not saying all attorneys don't bill, but I've been party to a few deals with Mr. Frazier and seemed like the billing didn't justify the end result. When compared to other attorneys I've dealt with it, he was definitely more expensive.
Phillip Downer is the best.
Experienced and reputable O&G attorneys are a bargain. They will provide an initial consultation at no charge and give an estimate of charges if you wish to retain their services.
How right you are! Many people learn their lesson the hard way.
I like Mr. Downer, have done some deals with him and he is fair and reasonable.
He is my father's lawyer for all business and mineral related issues, he's not a bad bass fisherman either. He is honest and razor sharp.
Merry, what exactly are you trying to accomplish?
My siblings and I have inherited oil/mineral rights--we are receiving some royalties from a couple of companies, we have signed a lease with b/c we figured a little money was better than nothing as we have not received anything in a long time-we now understand that we should have not have signed that lease w/o being advised from someone who knows the business so we don't want to possibly hurt ourselves in the future-seems each week we learn of more areas we may have rights to and we are just not sure how to research what areas we actually own the rights to and we do not know what leases are active and are there any that have expired---my grandparents left this to us and we know they never received much revenue from them so we never pursued our interest--and now, we are being contacted and we are actually finding areas on our own--
Have you looked at your grandparent's will or Judgement of Posession? What state is the property in?
