STATE MINERAL AUCTION: 06/09/2010 (SONRIS LITE, LEASE SALE AND TRACT HISTORY)

I have copied and pasted the bid tracts for the June auction for the tracts lying in the area of the Haynesville/Bossier Shale Play. I have underlined the Section-Township-Range for each tract and bolded the bonus bid if there was one. Note: Classic Petroleum bids on behalf of Chesapeake.

Skip, do you find it interesting that Sections 10,11,14,& 15 of T11N,R10W, though only 20 acres, received no bids?
Yes, SB. Now that you point it out, Encana has wells in S11, 14 & 15. Very curious indeed. Both Encana and SWEPI have additional wells nearby that should provide cores and logs.
And this is strange also. See the responses by charles walker in this thread:

It appears that Encana is choosing to allow leases to expire in selected areas of Red River and DeSoto parishes.
Electro,
My question is a little off topic, but I am curious if you know anything about a well permitted in S17 T15N 10W, but not drilled yet. It has been repermitted once already and will expire again soon. Interested parties keep getting different info,

EnCana is "movin" down south to the MOTHERLOAD!
The Play has been moving south and west for over a year now. It is likely that the current "economic" limits of the Play will be relatively well defined by the close of the year.
