Sec 24, T 22 N, R 5 W

Sec 19, T 22 N, R 4 W

Claiborne Parish

Pinebelt offered $300/acre, 1/5 royalty, 4/3 term.

Thoughts/comments/advice as to how this stacks up to other leases in the area is appreciated.

Is my property close to yours?

THANKS-
MIKE
I live in Michigan and inherited 2 parcels I believe possibly in the same area but because of my total ignorance I could be mistaken so any and all assistance and information will be greatly appreciated.

I have not yet been contacted with any lease offers. I just talked to the tax assessors office and they told me that when a company is ready to drill in your area they will contact you. Is this the standard procedure?

Also, I would like to look into the timber being trimmed. I believe it has been around 10 tears since this has been done. Any advice on how to proceed would also be appreciated.

Thanks!
Mike
With regard to the timber, I strongly recommend that you get an independent professional forester to handle the matter for you. They usually charge 10%, but they more than make that up for you in my experience.

I use Paul Smeltzer, Timber Resource Management, based in Athens south of Homer. (318) 258-3020 or www.psuforest1@aol.com.

Good luck.

I can't recommend Scott Smith (318-548-4704) with Magnolia Pulpwood enough. He cut my timber almost 2 years ago and still goes out of this way to help me anyway he can.  He is local and clearly has a love for the region. Paid upfront for my timber as well.

I agree with Mr Thurman,Scott does a great job.
