Skip, I know this is a generic question but since I have an interest in a small tract in sec. 21 of the Nadel & Gussman completed well listed in Claiborne parish above I was curious as to how much one could expect the daily production to decrease by this time next yr.? Is there a depletion rule of thumb for liquid/gas plays?
I know the well was originally applied for as a substitute unit well, for the purpose of draining a portion of the Pettet Formation, Res. A.
Any thoughts you had would be appreciated.

Smoke, a generic answer would be that the few Pettit wells in Claiborne Parish that I have reviewed were relative long lived wells with a shallow decline curve. Much depends on formation pressure and the choke program the operator employs to manage production. I would suggest a SONRIS Lite search of all the wells in Township 19N, Range 7 West to review other Pettit wells and then a search by organization for Nadel and Gussman to review their other Pettit wells, if any, in that general area of north LA.

I noticed that the debroeck 4 produced, but sonris shows the serial
number as 241740 not 241720 and lists its location in caddo parrish
not de soto. Which is correct?

john, I suspect that the Times staffer transcribing the data from the official report forms made a mistake regarding the S/N, 241740 is correct. The section being produced is Section 4 of 15N - 13W which is under Wallace Lake and located in DeSoto Parish. The surface location for this horizontal well is in Section 33 of 16N - 13W which is in Caddo Parish. The state database has been around for a number of years and was designed with vertical wells in mind and therefor wells are organized by their surface locations. When reviewing the data contained in the SONRIS Lite Well File special attention should be paid to the first or bottom line depending on the progress of the well. The Debroeck 4 #2 lists the well location as follows: 898' FSL (From the South Line) & 1583' FWL (From the West Line) of Sec. 33. PBHL (Planned Bottom Hole Location): 250' FSL & 1650' FWL of Sec. 4, T15N-R13W.

john, it appears the Times staffer transcribing the official completion report made a mistake. 241740 is correct. The SONRIS databases organize wells by surface location. When dealing with horizontal wells which are often drilled from sections adjacent to the one being produced, it is important to review the first or bottom line in the Well File report. The Debroeck 4 #2 has its surface location in S33 - 16N - 13W which is in Caddo Parish however it is drilling south under Wallace Lake and into Section 4 of 15N - 13W which is in DeSoto.

skip, our land leased is said to be"250 acres, more or less, being all of that portionof the east half of section 33. Township16N Range 13W, lying south and west of the kansas city southern railway right of way" . Do you think our land will receive royalties from Debroeck 4? So far we
only receive royalties on debroeck 33 alt1. Which are quite small I might add.

No, john. Royalties from wells accrue to those in the unit being produced. In the case above though the surface location is in your Section 33, there are no perforations in the well bore meaning no gas is being produced from the section. The well bore perforations are located in the horizontal portion of the well bore which is located entirely in Section 4 as indicated in the well name. That is the unit being produced. Bob, the Times weekly Locations and Completions does not report drilling wells. Wells are reported when they are permitted and again when the completion report is approved and made public.
The last time the ECA Olympia Minerals 30H appeared in a drilling rig report was April 22 and it had been drilling for 71 days on that date. The well likely reached Total Depth and the rig left a month ago. The next report on SONRIS Lite should be Waiting On Completion.
