CR: This means a 2200' lateral. Total depth is the same as total length of the hole. The wellbore will basically have a 10,300 verticle section and a 2200' lateral section.

Even if it's a vertical well and not a directional or horizontal?

Caddo rat---What's name of well? Is it permitted as horizontal or vertical? Many time a vertical well will be permitted couple thousand feet deeper than plan just in case they see something during drilling or change plans rather than admend permit.

The depths for Total Vertical Depth and Measured Depth listed on permits are an approximation and one that is usually deeper and longer than the actual completion.  You won't know either for sure until the well is completed and announced.  When a TVD and a MD depth are listed in a permit, it indicates a horizontal well.  TVD is Total Vertical Depth.  MD is Measured Depth and it indicates the total length of the well bore.  The difference between the two is the approximate length of the horizontal lateral.

CR- the shale (Bossier+haytnesville) is about 500 Feet so 12500 would get u thru the lime if operator decides to test lime

CR-- generally the Bossier is a little thicker than the lower part of the shale-- aka haynesville-- most haynesville in this area is 200-250' thick
