$27500 Chk. 15% 5yrs.
Mr. McClintock, in what area do you live? And how many acres did you have to lease? This is the largest bonus I've seen.
Thanks!
I live in Lakewood in the newer developed section, close to where it connects to Swan Lake. I received an offer last week of $5500/acre; 1/4 royalty; 3 year term, 2 year option.
Everyone has said to turn down your first offer, but this seems strong...which is surprising because I thought North Bossier was the phase out area?
Twin Cities for Chesapeake.
Nicole,

I have co-workers that live in Lakewood (one in the older and one in the newer section). I'll check with them tomorrow and see what offers they have received, if anything.
Nicole,

I spoke with my co-workers and niether of them have been contacted yet (one has .75 acres and the other has 1.5 acres). I sent them the link to this post and told them that you all should work together for the best deal.

BOL!
Thanks so much...I am certainly interested in pooling together for the best deal! The letter I received has our first meeting tonight at AHS from 6-8. They should attend. Meetings for the next 3 Thursdays, same time, same place FYI.
I had posted last week that I lived in Lakewood and received the 5500/acre 25% from Twin Cities. I want to correct that the offer was for our RENT HOUSE located in Brownlee. I was told anything in township 19 was too far North and was not an area of interest AT THIS TIME. Another piece of info for my Lakewood neighbors, our developer Ed, retained the mineral rights on our sub. (Forest Hills in Haughton too.) So unless it has been 10 years since your BUILDER bought the lot, you likely don't hold the mineral rights. This was a surprise to me since my paperwork makes no mention....but it's because the seller ( my builder) didn't retain them...it was the seller prior to my purchase (the developer.)

So much for loading up the truck and movin' to Beverly... :)
At least we have the rent house in the play. (We still have not signed.)
Two months ago in Webster $500 was strong!
My mineral rights are very close to Webster Parish, not far from Doyline. In 1996 I leased my mineral rights. I got $350.00 per acre sign on (unheard of $$ back then) and 25% royalties (also unheard of). Thus far, on less than 6 acres, I have been offered nearly $300,000 to sell my rights by Chesapeke. I know they must be joking!!!! My father had his land surveyed by a geoligist back in the 70's and I know what is there and what the potential earnings are. Good luck Snake, don't let them cheat you.
Hello Mr.Wren, Would you please give us a little more intel on said offer?Have you received royalty checks and someone is trying to buy your mineral rights for $300,000?
Both, I have been recieving checks since about 1997. Yes, Chesapeke was trying to buy my mineral rights, about a month ago, and the sum of the equation(ex: X times the monthly average of the last 6 months of royalties) they offered amounted to about $300,000. I might add, I have revieved offers similar, not near as much, over the years off and on. However like I said I will not be selling.
Mrs. W
