GD, we are sorta in the zone of LaCour #43, about 7.25 miles East of that location. And we are on the "West" of the river. But then the river flows from the West to East in that area before it turns South around St Francisville and flows almost due South there abouts (around the JJ Audubon Bridge, ya know). We are leased and we are waiting, waiting and waiting. I think my heirs will do okay because I do not believe I will live that long.
Finally some status on SONRIS Lite. Oil production for Sept was 579 bbs and gas was 423 MCF. That is a a slight improvement over the last month and after the "repair." Have to wait for October numbers to see if there is further improvement.
Otherwise, it appears to be "a lot about nothing."
I see John Mathern has already posted the numbers. My appologies.
To all Merry Christmas and may your new year be prosperous for you and yours. May your well come in, your lease be good and the price of energy stay stabilized.

Looks like that little work over pumped it up a bit.
That is good news, John. That is a little better than four times the previous production. Now let's see if it holds up for several months. Maybe, this is the code breaker for Anadarko. Will they do this to their other regional wells in the Austin Chalk? Maybe they will listen to the old heads about dealing with the chalk formation. Or it could have just been a bad BOP at the bottom of the hole. We do not know. But we do know that the production is up now.
Oh - Oh ...
Just read the SONRIS Lite report on LaCour #43 for November, 2012. It produced, ready for this, two barrels of oil. It produces 2036 barrels the month before and now reports only two barrels of oil produced in November.
Either the numbers are off, or misreported or bad news. Let's hope it is just an error in reporting the data.
They probably closed the valve. LOL
Chip, I hate to say it but they just don't know what they are doing. They have ruined the play and it will take someone with better insight to move in and get things right.
Saw the revised numbers for November 2012 on LaCour #43, it was 179 barrels SONRIS Lite. That is a lot better than the original 2 barrels reported but it ain't no barn burner either. We will have to wait and see what the December numbers will be. Hope they rise but . . .
Just checked SONRIS Lite, numbers for 12/01/2012 are very disappointing. They are"
Opening STK 712
Oil 32
Gas Zero or blank
Disposition 541
Closing STK 712
Looks like zilch to me. I am guessing the well is going to be shut in or abandonded. Of course, last time, we had crappy numbers and then the numbers changed for the better.
Valve is closed or collapsed well. High IPO is bad business.
The well is shut

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
