Anybody figured out AIX's "strategy" in Claiborne Parish with another completion announcement today that appears to be another in a fairly long sequence of
marginal IP rates for a 11,000 ft deep well?

AIX's partner is Nextera parent of Florida Power and Light. Word is they are going to do a horizontal LSBD in the near future.

tony, I think AIX needs a partner with operating experience.  Doesn't appear that Nextera fits that bill.  In fact they look more like an alternative energy company.

Word is they are trying to get rid of Nextera in the LSBD. Maybe so they can get that experience.

Nextera or Florida Power and Light may have a financial stake in the AIX leasehold but that shouldn't preclude finding an operator with horizontal development experience.  WLL might be a good fit.  I think that Colquitt Charlie is referring to the fact that AIX continues to drill non-economic wells long after they have drilled the minimum number to HBP their leasehold.

I have asked the same question and the only answer I have received is"There is no better way to figure out the best spot for the lateral than drilling". Seems they have spent alot of money to do that. I think they are close to 40 wells since SWN made their position public in 2011.

Then AIX is the only operator I've ever heard of that determines lateral placement by drilling multiple vertical, non-commercial wells.  I wonder just how many they need before they are ready to drill one horizontal well.  I hope it's not a 40 to 1 ratio.  If so they will go broke.

LOL !! I agree.

WildHorse's  location in Lincoln Parish;  Will this be four different sites or all from the same hole?

4 different vertical holes all drilled from the same pad.

They are supposed to drill 16 off of the same location
