I must assume that this neighborhood did not join the Greenwood Group with Fortress Management? I live on Shirley Francis near Hwy 169. Is it possible to join in with your group or is it now closed? Your offer beats the one Fortress was able to get with Petrohawk.

From an article in today's Ft. Worth Star-Telegram

The Louisiana Mineral Board took in a record $48.7 million this month, almost all of it bonus money on eight leases in the Haynesville.

The mineral board, which negotiated the leases on behalf of local governments, said the previous record, $35.8 million, was set in June.

"This $48 million from the lease sale this month, and with $46.4 million coming from the Haynesville Shale play, makes it the highest single lease sale for the state in mineral leasing since the early 1980s," Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said in a statement.

Those signing bonuses are impressive compared with what has been going on in the Barnett.

Caddo Parish, which includes Shreveport, received $30,212 per acre for 585 acres for a total of $17.6 million with a 30 percent royalty.
I learned this morning from a friend at church that his mother and father signed last night for 24.5K and 25% royalties. They own 7.5 acres and received a check for just over 180k as they signed. I believe that they live around Mansfield but not sure of their exact location. I'll see if I can get a company name and their T/R/S. This friend of ours lives down the street from us and signed for $200 an acre back in Dec.
A lease was just signed in Keatchie for $27,500 per acre. I do not know the section, township and range just yet. I believe the company was Comstock but I will get the details and post them. Great news for many of us in the area!
insomniacnla,
please post any info you have when you can on that, I'm hoping that Comstock news comes in soon on wells that they are drilling in the area.
thanks,
shelby
The lessor (landowner) signed a clause that they would not give out any information concerning the lease. They are afraid they will get sued but if they feel comfortable enough, they will give me the details. If not, I just appreciated that they gave me the amount so we all will know what deals are being made.
Their land is on Smyrna Road for those that may be familiar with the area. Off of Hwy. 5 West.
I agree about the confidentially statement, we are signing this week with PH....why would I want to erroneously or lie about my signing bonus to anyone? Live in elm grove. This site is to help others, not lie.
When you are presented with an offer for an o/g company, how long do you have to accept or decline their offer?
