I have interests in property that is on the Texas/LA border. If drilling is planned in adjacent units (1 in TX and 1 in La) , how are the laterals planned and coordinated between the states? Can drilling occur simultaneously?

There are no laterals that produce from both states.  Keep in mind that these horizontal wells are drilled on a north/south axis.  Unit set back requirements keep laterals from being too close to the state line.

Thanks. The reason I asked is that a company with permits to drill in LA mentioned that could not drill with lateral drilling going on in Texas. Could be a contractor issue with fracking crews and timing. Maybe pipeline constraints. Just wasn't sure.

You're welcome.  It is a legal/regulatory reason.  Nothing to do with drilling or completing a well.  When Comstock started developing the HA units along the state line in the area of Greenwood, they commissioned a new natural gas pipeline from Louisiana into Texas connecting with an existing main north south pipeline running down to the coast.
