Each section is 1 mile square, 640 acres. There are 36 sections in each Township.

Each section is 1 sq. mi or 640 acres. There are 36 of these sections in a (usually square) RANGE. There are several of these RANGES lined up across a TOWNSHIP.

TOWNSHIP 16N runs from the state line in south Caddo, across a small irregular northern tip of N. Desoto, back across the dog-leg section of S. Caddo, on into southern Bossier, etc.

That's why there can be TOWNSHIP 17N in S. Caddo & S. Bossier Parishes. The townships run east & west.

Across the townships are the larger ranges, withing the ranges are the smaller sections.

Police Jury/Office. I think you turn left after you go in. You might want to call first to see if any are left. I found a site that shows section numbers overlaid on a topo map. I will try to post.

Here is address for web site to get topographic maps with section numbers on them. Topo maps are great for this use.

I live in Plantation Estates also and heard the same details on the Twin Cities Offer, but now I heard it is $6,500/25%. I also did not sign on with the group because I did not know all the details.

Plus I've heard that people around the area are getting a lot more than that offer.

I think we are Sec29Town19NRange13.

I live in Sec29Town19NRange13. Offer $8,500/25% 3yrs Red River Services. I do not understand how our land is so different priced? They have not done all the test wells yet. We could be sitting on GOLDEN EGGS!!! Do not get in a hurry to sign, but we do not want to wait too long and be forced pooled.....

What about the east side of the lake (crouch road area)? I know a firm called Ashley Anne has been quietly leasing for a couple of years over here, any idea what company they work for?
