Looking at sonris and seeing permitted wells for the coming six months. Does this show all of the next wells companies will be completing this time frame? Or can the be others?

Where are you seeing that information on sonris?
on sonris lite: permitted wells by date or parish. run the report and an adobe document is generated.
I don't get an adobe document. Just a web page that only goes up to the current date.
I am very interested in this post can someone clear this up. My lease in Red River expires in Nov. t14n r9w sec.11. Would love to know for sure when a permit is applied for and received
Sonris does not show activity for future dates, you can only use it to check for permits through today's date. I believe that the Conservation Office is pretty good with getting permits posted within a day or two of when they are filed but you cannot use the service to check for a well that will be permitted on a future date, like August 15, 2008.
What is the easiest way to check for future permits??
It is my understanding that the o/g companies do not request a permit for future dates months in advance. Some companies will wait until the last possible second before they request a permit to drill. They like to play things "close to the vest" and do not like to let others know where they plan on drilling. Also, a permit to drill is usually only valid for 6 months. If the well is not drilled within that 6 months, a new permit and a new serial number will have to be issued and paid for by the o/g company.

Good luck in getting an o/g company to tell you their future plans because they sure don't like to do it.
