Just checking to see if anyone knows what is happening in the Springridge/Hwy 169 area of the Haynesville Shale. I heard that Chesapeake is getting ready to put at least one well in the area.

There are Haynesville wells permitted in Sections 9 and 10 of 16N 16W. Drilling pads are complete and I think drilling has started on one of the wells. Go to http://sonlite.dnr.state.la.us/sundown/cart_prod/cart_con_pshwells2 for more information. The wells are AGURS 9H and PBAF 18 and are being drilled for Chesapeake.
Jeff,

Fossil Operating has a Haynesville Unit formed on 15N-15W-Sec16. So far, there are no permitted wells for that section.
I am in section 24. We have not been unitized and no activity in our section. Have you heard if they think there is no gas here either? There are wells all around our section.
Just found out yesterday they have a drilling permit for 15N 15W 17. I think it may be right past Crest drive on highway 789. They are doing something big back there where the sign says "Dirt Pitt".......With all these big rigs and trucks flying down the road I just hope I live to see all this pan out. Also, in the last couple of days I got two offers in the mail from different companies telling me how bad things are in the oil and gas industry but they want to buy part of my royalties for around 5-6 thousand bucks. With less than 2 acres things don't look so bad to me. They are doing sesmic testing all around this area.
Ok, I went by the site on highway 789 past Crest Drive and there is a well going up today. Big cranes and I think I saw the rig being raised. I guess I will be listening to drilling for a few weeks but that is ok with me. Things are not slowing down on Hwy 169 or 789 with the pipelines being laid and wells being drilled. Hopefully everything will remain safe and the drilling will produce some good wells.
Sesmic testing being done around Springridge for the last week. Monday was really loud and shook my house. I also heard a helicopter flying all afternoon and one day last week while coming home I saw a helicopter flying with a long rope and something hanging at the bottom. I guess it was part of the sesmic testing. It's crazy around here.
I talked to a neighbor that spoke to one of the oil and gas men and it seems the well in section 17 is going to be a super pad and will drill six wells on that spot. I guess I better get used to the noise and the traffic on 789. I also drove down highway 789 into Desoto Parish and they have a pumping station that is HUGE. We must be in a good spot here in Springridge.
Do you have any news about section 18, just west of 17? The seismic folks collected their equipment this past Monday from our street.
Any news on the PBAF 10-H Well? The most recent Sonris update indicates that on 6/9/2009 they were drilling - Does anyone know how things are going?
I visited the site on 29 July. It looks like everything is complete with tanks on site, so production may have begun.
Our section (T15NR15WS6) is smaller than most sections by a bit more than 40 acres or so. It seems to be one of the last ones in the area to be unitized. Does anyone know if that's because it's smaller? Does that mean it's less desireable to drill. And why would our section be smaller anyway?
Thanks to any who have an answer!
