If you're asking me the question - I don't know - I live in Dallas and am not that familiar with the area - sorry.
Has any body seen any uptick in leasing interest in the parish? I have heard there is a slight more interest - including near Toledo Bend.
Keith,

This is not a direct answer to your question above concerning Sabine Parish leasing, but just learned today that CHK had just completed mailout to affected land/mineral owners in far southern tier of DeSoto Parish (on the Sabine Parish line) for an additional 10-12 unit declarations in T10N, R13W - I assume this to be good news at least for northern Sabine Parish. I am curious as to what happened with the completion of the Labokay well in this area - I would assume that they like what they saw -or- they would not be going thru the trouble of unitization for all surrounding sections.

Like you, I'd like to know if the activity has picked up on leasing?? I'm fairly certain that much of the acreage on the DeSoto side is already locked up - unless they are coming up for renewal soon.
Mattie. What are the sections in 10N - 13W that are covered under CHK's pre-conference notice letter?
Skipper,

I was informed by phone and don't recall all of the exact sections, but pretty certain that it included most of the northern tiered sections of 10N-13W, possibly some to the east in 10N-12W as well. There had already been a few that SWEPI/Encana had filed for earlier this year, and this fiing pretty well fills out the remaining sections.

I'll try to retrieve the exact sections and report back soon.
Thanks, Mattie. For your reference, the following sections in 10N-13W have existing HA unit orders: Sections 3,4,9,10,15,16,27-29,33,34 to Chesapeake, 17,19,20,30-32 to Petrohawk and 11,12 to SWEPI. That's 19 of 36 sections.
Skipper,

You are correct concerning the already approved units.

The new applications are for Sections 13,14,22,23,24 of T10N, R13W and also Sections 18 & 19 of T10N-12W, a total of 7 additional applications.
Thanks, Mattie,
The quarterly presentation for Plains Exploration shows the areas to be drilled during the remainder of 2009 under the CHK/PXP joint venture agreement. It includes three wells in north Sabine in the general area of 10/13 (townships are not marked on their map). Per Skip's request, let us know which sections are in the notice and thanks.
Mattie,
Landowners in Southern DeSoto/Northern Sabine must be aware: Chesapeake has recently filed permits for vertical wells in 12N, 11W. This might happen here too. Landowners better be prepared and go to the meetings to express concerns and object to any vertical wells that might be proposed.
Recently heard of possible location near the Donner well on Kites Landing rd., does anyone have any news on this.
there is another Nabors logan well permitted in 10n-13w serial# 240099
