Steve, is that not Murray 31? If so, isn't that one drilled? Also, I am in your area fairly close. Did you receive two sets of paperwork from some Lafayette attorneys last year after signing that laid out the formed units for us? I was somewhat confused that the map contained in each of them were alike but at the bottom of one, it was labeled Grogan Field and the other labeled San Miguel Creek Field. I don't why it is two different fields.
Ms Thornton

I am so glad to here from someone in this matter.

The murry 21 is drilled and producing.

I don't think i was in the pool because there was only 640 acre in each unit.

I too received two seperate letters from the lawyers in Lafayette. I have both copies in my hand. Their names are Liskow & Lewis . Why it was done that way I don't know.

I also have a copy of a file that Audubon offered 10,000.00 per acre at nthe time I signed a lease with them for 100.00 per acre.

This is sicking. I hope The person who leased me is enjoying our inheritance for our grandchildred.

I wish there was a way out with this but I don't see anything happening.

By the way the Murry 31 well # is 236843 No postings have made on Sonris as of this date. Why ?????????

Again, thank you for expressing your concern
What is your royalty percentage in the lease? That could be worth far more than the lease bonus. Your grandchildren may get their inheritance after all.
Probably 18.75% like mine. That seemed to be the going rate at the time.
I am really getting sick of everyone blaming their problems on someone else ! Where do you get that the person who leased to you is enjoying your grandchildren's inheritance ? That is ridiculous ! If you want to look at it that way......then YOU gave their inheritance away. YOU and only YOU signed the lease. If you wanted more bonus money then you should have held out longer. No wonder so many people are calling us hillbillies. Some of us are acting like we have no brains. Am I the only one who is seeing this picture ??????
Since my last post here, I have come home and pulled that paper work. I did figure out that I am actually in the Grogan Field, the field Murray 31 well is in. I guess I received the San Miguel Creek Field letter (even though not actually in it) because the unit that was drilled 3 units over from me. That was the Johnson DDD No. 2 well. Exactly where is that well? Where is your property? What are you saying when you say "not pooled". It was not in your unit? I am not sure I am following you. Also, from the map you should be able to figure exactly what unit you are in. Like Murray 31 is in Jur RA SUA, and I am in SUO. One of those letters, the Grogan Field one, was applying for 15 driliing and productions units. So, maybe they will drill on each of ours. We can only hope. I am not sure about postings of production. I know by way of family members that the rig was taken down and moved over to the Oxford area. So, they may be waiting for a "tree". I am new to this. I really am not sure.
My property is in sec 6 on the map you got with the application (trotter) just below the murry 31. one map showed 15 wells to be drilled and the other showed 16
Oh, okay. Hopefully, you will see action in the near future. Me, too!!!
Hey Mr. Steve I have some land in section 34 township 7 and I received a letter from Liskow&Lewis back in February of 2007 and they said they were calling a public hearing at that time I couldn't go I had back surgery, but they said they were creating 5 drilling and production units for exploration for the production of gas and condensate from the Austin Chalk Zone Reservoir A, in Fort Jessup,I had called them before all the noise about the Haynesville shale and they said that they were working on drilling but that they had not started.I just wanted to no if you had heard if they are in that area or where they are ,thanks for your time, junior
Thanks for the clarification. Helpful. To throw into the mix, I know there is a Bayou San Miguel Field. Where does this one lay. Do you know Jim. Thanks for you help.
Hello everyone, my family has 80 acres Section 18, Township 9 N, Range 11W
Between Belmont and Pleasanthill
West side of Hwy 175
We've been rounding up family members for the last few months and are just now ready to deal with a land company. I do not have access to a map with townships and sections (yet) but this well has to be close to our property?! Yes/No?? The property is still in my great grandfathers name so...we have issues. What are the chances that we are in one of the units for this well?
best,
Steve Barnhill
Lafayette
Steve, when I get home this evening, I will check my map and see if I see your section on it. Do you have any roads you can name that are close to or your property is on? I feel like you could be near the well that is being started on the Bozeman Loop which is on the west side of Hwy. 175 near Belmont. Check out the discussion "Bozeman Loop well". Are you in Spring Ridge area? Also, GET SUCCESSION OF PROPERTY COMPLETED. Been there, done that. It will help weed out the headaches.
