Goldonna meeting Sept. 2, 2008

There will be an informatinal meeting about Haynesville Shale leasing and pooling at the Goldonna school on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008 beginning at 6:30 pm. Featured speakers will be C. Rodney Harrington, a Natchitoches attorney and Lang Wedgeworth, a Shreveport attorney. The public is invited.

Anyone attending the Goldonna meeting please post info from the meeting so folks like us who live in Austin Tx can keep up with what's going on in the area. We have land in Winn Parish. Clear communication is a Winn-Winn situation! Jack

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
