Devon announces 30.7 mmfcd well in San Augustine, TX - Kardell Gas Unit 1H

Huge news from Devon this morning as they have released the IP results of their Kardell Gas Unit 1H well in San Augustine, TX and it came in at a whopping 30.7mmfcd:

Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Devon Energy Corporation (NYSE: DVN) today announced the results of a successful Haynesville Shale well in San Augustine County, Texas. The Kardell Gas Unit 1H achieved an average continuous 24-hour flow rate of approximately 30.7 million cubic feet of natural gas equivalent per day through a 37/64-inch choke. Flowing pressure was 6,824 pounds per square inch.

This is great news for all of us in San Augustine, but really good for those of us with holdings within T.Quirk!
Devon's well is within 'spitting' distance of two of my families leases... Hope all of the other players are paying attention... maybe some more companies will pop in some more holes now!

Ooooooh.... I like the idea of hearing that noise all over the county!!! The other nice sound will hearing them build new bank vaults in San Augustine to hold all that cash!!!

That SICK Devon well is 1 mile from downtown San Augustine!.... If this keeps-up, our little Schools in E.Tx will all have new turf football fields with retractable roofs ha.

LOL, re: the retractable roof football fields. That would be nice - but let's hope they save some of that extra tax revue to help update the school libraries and computer labs as well!!!!

D. Gaar: this is Texas! First, turf fields and retractable roofs. Then, if money is left over, libraries, books, etc. Maybe a new teacher or two!

I've upped my offers to $250/acre and a 17% royalty, 10 year term!! :o) Good thing I've got no money to drill!! I'm saving it all to pay for everyone else's healthcare!

In seriousness, I think it will increase whatever's available; but seems like much of that area was already leased or HBP. But haven't seen much on that particular area.

A.C.: I would imagine the momentum swings back to the landowners/mineral owners now...There's now confirmed BIG production from H.S. wells as far north as just south of Marshall Tx and as far south as San Augustine. Thats a good size area man lol. Maybe our counties & parishes with the Haynesville Shale in them should form a seperate State....Call it something like ShaleLaTx or PayUsOrFreeze lol

Novel idea. Keith could be Attorney General. He doesn't even have to pass the bar, since we are making up our own rules. I want to be Secretary of State. I want to travel through East Texas doing cart wheels and yelling, through my mega phone, "Power to the Shalers"!!
San Augustine should get the most voting power. Given we are the MOTHER LOAD!!!

I know Devon has land leased as far south as 103. Could things even get better the farther south they go?
