Encana creating 4 drilling/production units in T9N R10W S22, S23, S27, S26

I got this in the mail today. While the letter says Sabine Parish the map says Natchitoches. I checked with the lawyer and he confirmed that the location on the map is correct. Great news for Natchitoches Parish. Bad news for me I am in an adjacent section. Guess I can watch my neighbors build new houses. Maybe I can get a loan from one of them :-) . Oh well I am happy for them! I figure my grandchildren will be rich from this Haynesville Shale play. All good things take time.

WO, it is clear EnCana believes the Haynesville Shale and Bossier Shale plays extend futher south than other operators. These units are outside the southern play boundaries on the Petrohawk map. Also EnCana filed for one Haynesville Unit in the Zwolle Field in T8N-R10W which is even further south. These units are south-southwest of the Messenger 8 #1 Well in the King Hill Field.
Skip -- thanks for your thoughts on leasing in the T 9N -R10West area.
Mustang Engineering is putting stakes down the side of the highway by the Natchitoches/Sabine Parish line between Belmont and Marthaville. Looked them up and it looks like Mustang does pipe line work.
Not to sound ignorant but what does this mean? We're just slightly north of the Sabine Parish line on Hwy 120.
TLW. Energy companies applying for drilling units and staking locations is the earliest development activity that is obvious as they move into new areas they plan to drill.
Thanks Skip. Trying not to get my hopes up too much, but it sure would be nice.
Do you know when are they going to start drilling and are they going to be drilling all 4 units at the same time
I am realy curious about the output from these wells
If good or better than good will be great news for all of Natchitoches
oree. No, I don't know. But the earliest activity other than survey or site work will be a permit or permits. Use the link below and just check every few days. The permit should show up here first.

Oree, there have not yet been any new permitted Haynesville Shale wells for Natchitoches Parish.
Encana permitted the Charles Davis 27H ON 03/31/2010,serial # 241118,section 27-9n-10w,vertical depth 13,750, total 16,000. (see sonrise lite permitted wells by parish, date 03/31/2010).
I'm getting paranoid ~ they are leasing/drilling to the north, west and south of my property! I feel like I'm in a black hole. LOL Guess I'll just sit here patiently. Glad to hear the good news for my neighbors!
Ginger --You must be in section 35 with me. We can sit in my front yard and watch our rich neighbors drive by. :-)
