Anyone have any first hand or 'eyeball' knowledge about: Murray, Olympia or Harris 19, all SWEPI wells? SONRIS information is vague. I want to know what's going on and don't live close enough to see for myself. I have read here that SWEPI has requested new units though. I would guess that is a good sign, but I want to know more from feet on the ground, in the area.

It sure would be great to get first hand knowledge from people working around these sites. the truck drivers, engineers, drillers, cement workers, etc, they have to know something. They, the workers, must be eating, drinking, playing, sleeping somewhere. They must drop hints, even with a confidentiality clause, everyone will slip a hint eventually.
Aren't there any investigative reporters down there?

I guess I am looking for 'field espionage', 'well chatter'.

I know 'SWEPI' and the other O&G companies are keeping this info close to the chest but we also have the right to get the information any way we legally can.

My land is near Pelican in Sec 4 T 10N R 12W - the southern end of DeSoto. As you may know SWEPI unitized 16 sections north of me. Some of the other surrounding sections were also leased in 2005 for $250 / acre when those landowners insisted on "if you lease any of my land, you lease all of it". I have heard Sec 7 (T10N R12W) was recently selected for drilling. I expect the clock is ticking for SWEPI as the extensions expire in less than two years. However, they will need to deploy more rigs if they want to secure the gas before the leases expire. Which sections were you referring to?
My land is in Sec 15 T11N R12W. Their was a meeting last week in the attorney’s office to permit our unit. I have not heard when the meeting will be scheduled at the state office. I live in WV and here from family that surveying was done last week in our section on both sides of route 175.
I am interested in section 31. I am told the owners in my section all leased at $250 in 2005-2007, except myself and 1 other landowner who leased this year at the current market rate. So maybe that will push the whole section to the front also, since the other owner's leases will be expiring. Good to know, I did not think of that. The landman said by the end of the year, but if they have not requested unitization yet, not sure how that could happen. Unless it is already unitized. I can't tell how to find that out on SONRIS yet.
I found out we were unitized in March on Sonris.
Harris well is 2 sections north of us.
Question though, I thought Haynesville was 14K and deeper, this unit had a reclassification of the Jurassic Zone to 13,999. (what does that mean?) Also, the Harris well is proposed to only go to 13,985. Does this mean it is not a Haynesville, just a HPB?
VSC, the Jurassic Zone includes the Haynesville Shale where present.
Whew!
Good to know.
Thanks.
If they only unitzed the Jurrasic zone does this mean that they won't go any deeper? Is this a typical horizontal or vertical depth? I really hope they are not going to do as little driling as they can jsut to produce a minimum so they can hold for production.
VSC, the Harris 19 #1 well is permitted for 13,800' which is typical for a vertical HS well. The Haynesville Shale is shallower than this depth.
"is typical for a vertical HS well.', then they drill horizontal?
Obviously you have to go down before you go across.
I am paranoid about this whole thing.

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…
