Hi Richard, Thanks for the email. This is land in Sec. 12 T11N R12W. It is family land. My husband's great-grandfather obtained 160+ acres in 1896 through homesteading in the NE quadrant. My husband and his brother have an undivided interest in about 23 acres. It has been almost 2 years since we were last there and the well in Sec 10 was just going up. Their family is also from that area. We will probaby visit the area sometime this in March or April when the weather gets warmer. What section is your land in?
Thanks for writing, Nancy

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
