Don't sign their lease! Hire an O&G lawyer to draw up a lease. The money is on the back end, not the bonus.
I CAN'T SIGN WHAT THEY WON'T GIVE ME. SO FAR, NO LEASE FORTHCOMING .
thank you for the real advice. I am willing to accept the offer I was given but I must be out of the 330 range, since I haven't heard back from the company. Just the same, good luck to whomever gets a lease it couldn't happen to a greater group of people. TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE DON'T SELL ALL YOUR GRANDPARENTS OR PARENTS LAND BECAUSE THEY AREN'T MAKING ANY MORE LAND. REAL ADVICE!!!!!!

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
