Skip, I own property in S32N23W10. This new post from Nadel & Gussman shows a unit being put in for this area in Webster Parish. In looking at the map showing the townships, Section 32 look like it may not be included in the
plan for unitizing. What is your opinion of weither S32 is included in the Unitizing? Thanks for all your help and post. You have educated a lot of folks here!!
Your S32-23N-10W is approximately six miles SE of the sections shown on this unit plat. The south half of Section 30 is the proposed new 320 acre unit combining the three zones listed. The other surrounding sections shown already have unit designations such as CV RA SUB and are included because the Office of Conservation requires it for the unit application plat. The Section 32 depicted on the plat is in 23N - 9W and has no existing unit orders for these depths so none are labeled.
Thanks for you information. Think I had a little wishfull thinking going on!!!
The following is some info in my files about the original purchase of my property at 32,23,10.
The original purchase of this property was done way back. Not sure of the date but will get
back for it. Anyway, my gggrandfather purchased it for the price of 30 bails of cotton and made payable at different times. He had to grow the cotton first and guess it was over a period of years!!!
N. I enjoy the history behind the minerals that I research and help manage for clients. Cotton was a very liquid commodity back in the day and was used quite often in trade. Your section has a number of long lived oil wells producing from the Buckrange Zone at varying depths less than 3000'. These wells are approaching their thirty year anniversaries.
