Won't this eventually have an impact on the supply of natural gas?

I think we will see a rise in the price of oil and more onshore drilling where there may be wet gas, or natural gas with potential for oil and condensate. I only hope they lift the ban as it is going to really hurt the economy to keep spending almost $200,000,000,000 a year on imported oil.

(Let's see, $200 billion times 10 years equals $2 trillion dollars... gee, that's some serious money to not keep as much as possible here in the US economy.)
Thanks David. Much easier that way.
No problem. Thanks for the info, AL.
Good info ALongview and David. Thanks!
Obama wants to export as many U.S. dollars to the mid-east as he can. They bought and paid for his election. This is part of their pay back.
You stole my thunder. This is a way of sending dollars to the muslim countries that he loves so much without rasing the suspicion of the American people. I believe this may be an offense that rises to the level of treason.

Seems to me that these moratoriums, having such significant impact on the national economy, would need congressional action.  How can the President simply declare these areas off limits?  Has this power been tested in court?
