Would be interested to know y'all thoughts/opinions on what "they" would be looking for in the Miller County (AR) area...Cass County, NW LA & most of the ARK/LA stateline to the east of Miller County are all very active but it seems each area has a different target.

What was the offer?

same bonus $100/acre and royalty 3/16 but one wants 4/3 and the other 3/2. Initially one wanted only 8-10K depths and willing to exclude the "haynesville shale" (their words); but when the lease arrived they had added a clause regarding the haynesville shale/sand (again their words) and they wanted all depths. The other company wanted all depths.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
