For those of you in or near the Goodwin Community in western SA Co. you might find this interesting. I focused on a 5 mile radius from the intersection of FM1277 & FM1196. There are a minimum of 28 wells permitted as of 6/4/11. Ten of the wells have initial production reports filed w/ RRC. There are 4 O&G's active in distinct areas. They are Encana, EOG, Exco, & XTO. The average IP for the 10 wells is 19.2. Not bad for an area that used to get $50 p/acre bonus money for leases just a few years ago.

Eighteen wells have yet to report initial production. We'll learn a lot over the next year about our area. I will continue tracking information as it's released.

I've attached a map that shows where the 4 companies are active at this time. I hope you find this useful.

dos any body know or heard that they are putting 2 more wells on fairway farms i heard that a while back if heardof let me know

we have 1 more year to lease with eagle oil and they have not done any thing for us or tried to get any thing going on our lease or any of our property i think we will try to find anouther company to get something started on our property any thoughts  on anouther company when we get ready to resign

I would like to sign with Encana, Exco, XTO, or EOG. Probably in that order of preference. Keep the cap on your pen though. I think your ink is going to dry before any leases are put in front of you. Natural gas is too abundant right now...

I think, if Mr. Higgins is in the area of Fairway Farms, Devon is leasing over there for the James Lime and will give you a depth clause limiting to base of the James and 1/4 royalty.  That's a pretty good deal.

I'm in the A. Spear Survey, Abstract 43. Why aren't I getting paid?

There's no action, Brother. NG is $3.32

Maybe in about 10 years we'll both get paid....

Here is a map of interest to me and they are concerning the EnCana Blaskstone units as well as the SA area such as the Goodwin area.  Farmbrad did you ever get a lease re signed?   Well I am feeling really good about our area.. though it has been a long wait.

Hopefully Soon!!

Nope, no lease or offers. No worries though, we know we're in a hot location & the gas isn't going anywhere. The demand will rise as the LNG facilities crank up along the Gulf Coast.

I am in A.Spear Survey A-43,Keydets Du also. I was told by my title search man we are on fast track to start drilling before the first of the year! Sure hope its true! Eee haw!!

I am in Spear A43 also.  We are not in a unit and our lease will be up soon.  A LM for XTO is kicking around saying they are planning to start drilling again in that area and want to extend our lease since the actual drilling wouldn't start until after our lease has expired (most likely 1st quarter next year).  This is recent activity as in last couple days.  Anybody else in the Goodwin community been approached?

NGE,

Great news! We have not been contacted but it's good to hear someone has. EnCana had seismic cameras on our place but removed them in July. I guess XTO is the only active company in our area right now.

Same here, they came and picked up their seismic electronics from our place as well.  Since XTO took over the Encana leases in our area, I guess they would be the only ones that are interested in pursuing an extension or re-leasing property.  It would be nice if other companies would be interested (a little competition never hurt anything) but I guess those days are gone...or seem to be anyway.
