Has anyone received any offers to lease in the last month? The lease on my property expires January 20th and I'm wondering what the going rate per acre is in Caddo.

The advertising fee is only a small one and it helps pay for the expenses to keep the site running. I think that paid advertising is allowed, UNPAID advertising is not. Mr. Peel has a paid advertisement allowing him to do so.
Well, our lease expires on Dec 20 and we were recently offered $3000 per acre on 44 acres in DeSoto Parish. At the time he called, we told the landman that we would just wait until January when the new budgets came in and entertain lease offers at that time. We were informed yesterday that they are attempting to form a unit in a neighboring section. We called the landman back today with a counter-offer and are waiting for a return call. I can't remember offhand the name of the company the landman worked for, but we were informed that the company was contracted by Chesapeake.

I saw recent offers by CHK on multiple tracts in Caddo two weeks ago and they ranged from 5500-17500, the largest being in urban
shreveport.
With 44 acres, the royalties will supercede an outrageous bonus. You would be the only legitimate judge of that. Take what you can be happy with.---lol
Thanks, HP. I don't think our counter-offer is outrageous at all. We're only asking for $7500 per acre. That's only $300 per acre more than we received when we leased 38 acres in the adjacent section back in May. Quite reasonable in my opinion. We may not get what we are asking, but it doesn't hurt to ask. =)
It's over for all you people on this site that really thought acreage in
any shale play is worth more than $500.00 an acre bonus. The whole HS area will be lucky
if 10% of any acreage is drilled in the next 5 years. Time to stop eatin the wish biscuit
and go back to the day job. Christmas came early this year.
walter. Does Jeff Dunham know that you're out of the suitcase?
HA!HA!HA!HA!
Sounds like somebody wronged you Walter. Do you own/work for a small company that was trying to buy leases and sell them for profit? Did the big boys make it too expensive for you to play? I hope you rebound and have a merry christmas.
Did you say big boys or broke boys
I just to laugh at all the delusion on this silly site.
I have plenty in the oil and gas biz but I have
paid my dues over 20 years and I get a kick laughing
at all the squares that think that they have the Oil and Gas
business figured out. It is just luck and hard work.
Mostly hard work. Most of you people should find another hobby. Snooze
One would think with 20 yrs. of experience in the field that you would have had the insight to make some big bucks from the beginning of this thing since everyone else is rather dim-witted. Perhaps your missing the boat is the source of your bitterness?
Walter,
If I were you I think I would find a site that had people on it that were my intellectual equal.
Oh, but thats right, most of them can't read.
OUCH... BirdDawg !

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…
