Can someone please explain the two Petrohawk wells in Caddo Parish?  One says Upper Haynesville" and one says "Lower Haynesville," but the depths look the same.

When the permits are posted on SONRIS Classic, there may be additional information.  Keep in mind that permitted depths are simply a limit as to TVD (true vertical depth).  The actual target depth(s) are something less.

When a fracked well is put into production, is the water produced from that well because of the fracking process or water located in the source rock?

Depends.  For example the Haynesville Shale is dry.  Any water that comes up the wellbore is flowback from the frac.  The Cotton Valley on the other hand is "wet".  In addition to frac water recovered after completion operations, a well will produce formation water through out its life.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
