Chesapeake, Encana Face Criminal Antitrust Charges in Michigan

I'm so happy that I get to start this discussion!  It makes my day.  Go Michigan!

CHK and ECA are going up on charges of collusion in leasing deals of a few years ago....

i'm shocked, shocked there's gambling going on in here, monsieur rick.

Reuters first brought this matter to public attention 3-4 years ago. It was real reporting, while the rest of the media crowd merely continued to pontificate personal and corporate agendas. Kudos to Reuters.

a a new and young gas buyer for an interstate ng pipeline co, the first thing they did was to set me down with one of company's attorneys who 'splained to me the several federal antitrust statutes, and, in great detail, he pointed out the fines and time in the big house if one was convicted.

he and later on my management let me know that i'd be on my own, even i was only charged with violating one of them. it was the company's intent that i got the message.and, i sure did.

and, yes, they did this with all new commercial types; i wasn't being singled out even if felt that way to me at the time.
