skip, thanks for the post.
i note the hall-williams 4-34h completion results include condensate and water rates. i'd be pretty surprised if a shale would make 1331 bbls of water after frack water was recovered.
jim weyland
You're welcome, jim. The source of the water is unclear to me. Frac flowback or formation produced? Flowback can take weeks or months. I think we should take the APC IPs with a grain of salt. The test date for the well was 3/31/14. I suspect that it was completed and flowing for several weeks, at least, before the test was performed. We will need to see at least 90 days of reported production to get a good idea of just what APC has in N Caddo. We will begin to have a better idea of the water source and decline characteristics by then.
do you know the going rate for water disposal services in nw la?
Heckman has upped pricing to something in the $1/bbl range if you are on their pipeline
dbob,
thank you, sir.
so, what do you figure an all in cost to be if you had to truck it to them for injection in their pl?
jim
There are 709 active injection wells in Caddo Parish. I'd estimate that close to two thirds are in north Caddo Parish. APC's disposal cost should be about as low as it gets per barrel.
thanks.
i want to recall that we paid between $1.50 - 2.00/bbl in stx if it had to be trucked to a sw injection facility.
Numerous advantages will make the APC Jitterbug Play a low cost producer.
you're the land professional. if you were still hoovering up play acreage wouldn't you want to see your completions to be reported as 'conservatively' as possible so as to not drive up bonus money expectations?
The lease block is not growing in area. For the last year the leases recorded have been within the original footprint. Infill leases required for drilling. Unless the prospective area grows, there aren't many leases left to acquire. Especially on larger tracts.
thanks.
a faulty premise will get you every time.
You made a valid assumption, jim. I suspect there are still a good number of mineral owners left to lease but they hold small interests, probably will not consult a professional and will find the standard bonus offer to be attractive.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
