Hard to say if that is a typo considering what comes before it and the fact that the well is still listed as Status Code 31.  Also there is no work order for a P&A.  The status is dated today.

No reference to setting any plugs - which should be necessary for any permanent P&A.

I thought the HZ portion was a risky proposal without the benefit of the ongoing 3D shoot.  My guess is that got the vertical hole log and core data and decided to wait on the survey for lateral placement or other go forward plans.  Very little well control this far east.

That makes sense.  I doubt there are plans to plug and abandon the well.  It can remain Status 31 indefinitely.

Status shows future utility, so I would assume they will take it HZ later.

Well is continually referred to as "pilot hole" in SONRIS. This could be a temporary abandonment that allows operator to figure out what to do with this wellbore after analyzing all the logs and any other data.

Has anyone seen any leasing in T 9N-8W Sec 14?  Looks like almost everything west & south of there is leased.

William, no one has reported leasing in Section 14 to me.  I only make note of what members post here on the website.  My spreadsheet for 9N-8W shows leasing in the following sections:  17, 20 & 33.  I'm sure there are other sections leased but I have not attempted a search of Natchitoches public records and that is the only way to know for sure.  There is the existing Haynesville unit covering 27&34 which I show as having one well permit.
