I received a letter from Onebane Law Firm. It is a Pre-application Notice. It says they are wanting to create 3 addional drilling units. One in each section. Does that finish off all the sections in that area?

Les B,

What about the sections in T11 R12? I know there has been interest in some of these sections by Petrohawk and Chesapeak although I do not know if there are any wells in this area yet.
WP, the following wells have been drilled in T11N-R12W:

EOG, Johnson 6 #1 Well, Serial #239046, S6-T11N-R12W
Shell, Harris 19 #1 Well, Serial #237373, S19-T11N-R12W
Shell, Blackstone Ivory 15 #1 Well, Serial #239011, S15-T11N-R12W
Shell, Blackstone Ivory 10 #1 Well, Serial #239364, S10-T11N-R12W

In addition the following wells have been permitted:

Chesapeake, Chk LA Minerals 9 #H1 Well, Serial #239719, S9-T11N-R12W
Chesapeake, Black Stone 7 #H1 Well, Serial #239231, S7-T11N-R12W
there will be some larger units to reconcile spacing. I have land in T12N, R 13W. To the East of me, there are some pre-existing Hosston units that are quarter sections from 4 different sections. To the SW of me, there is a newly established Haynesville unit that is a standard full section 640 Acres. Unfortunately, I'm in the gap, so I may end up with an expanded unit. The operators and the Department like to use the boundaries of pre-existing units even if it is for different formations.
BP is holding all or most of the leases in Sections 1 - 3 in 11/15 through production of some older Hosston wells. BP permitted one well, maybe in Sec 4. don't know the status of that well
Steve, BP has only established one Haynesville unit and I am not aware of them permitting any wells.

S5-T11N-R14W, HA RA SUO Unit, BP, Spider Field, De Soto Parish
I wonder if they will experiment with a longer lateral on these combined units?
GL, it would be a perfect opportunity to try a 6000' or 7000' lateral and maybe crack the 30 MMcfd barrier.
Les B,

Thank you for posting the wells in 11n 12w have you heard if the production has been good on any of these well?
That would be a good one!! You would think that if they are going to be allowed to combine two sections they would at least cross the section line with the lateral. It might be a double edge sword though because I would guess doing so would increase the potential for error. Maybe in a few years it will happen.
We have received 2 more letters. So maybe they are finally getting to us. Hope it turns out good!
