A few days ago, being new at this site, I was reading in this blog, a value of gas per acre of 800k. This fascinated me, but I do not remember who posted this info. If you are reading this and are the one who posted this, could you please re-post it and give the source you were using. I remember you said it was from Chesapeak and Petrohawk, but could you be more specific. Was it an article? Was it a financial report from them? Could you provide a link for me to read it?

Thanks very much.

BirdDawg,

I pulled up a really old discussion. I was just wondering what the estimates would be today.
Thanks Parker, that makes more sense.
EUR's are higher, price is MUCH lower and I don't know if present development anticipates 6 wells per section or the first mentioned 8.
EIA predicts:

The monthly average Henry Hub natural gas spot price is expected to remain below $4 per thousand cubic feet (Mcf) until late in the year given plentiful U.S. natural gas supplies and weak demand, particularly in the industrial sector. The Henry Hub price is projected to increase from an average of $4.22 per Mcf in 2009 to an average of $5.93 per Mcf in 2010 as expected economic growth increases industrial consumption of natural gas.

But hopefully long term will be significantly higher.
Questar has told us 3 to 5 wells per unit. But then that had something to do with what they were paying us for our working interest. So my best guess is 5 to 7.
Ha. I just like to get in the middle. My guess means nothing.
