"Mr. Sam Marsiglia, Bossier City-Parish MPC, stated that there are currently no subdivision regulations which provide buffer requirements or minimum setback requirements for a pipeline."

We need to have some kind of regulations for pipe lines that are equal to all communities. In The Bossier Parish Police Jury 2/4 Meeting Minutes they approved a pipeline to run under Kingston Road, but in the 2/18 Meeting Minutes they are having debate over a new subdivison being built over existing pipeline saying it is not safe. I copied and pasted the meeting minutes from there site.

Nice work Sue,
Just because something was done in Fort Worth doesnt mean its the right thing to do here. The more information that we can glean the better decissions that can be made. Pipelines are a vital part to this industry, as well as a necessity to you as a mineral owner to get the product to market. But it need be done in the safest viable manner as possible. No plan of action or its implementation are perfect. The best welder in the world could have a weld that fails for one reason or another. I would prefer that my house wasnt on top of it.

Have a good one.
