Was wondering what was going on in Shelby County. They were not listed in the article.
I was wondering if anyone (landowner/mineral owner) is making anything off of these wells? I have seen a few posts that talk about the hugh decline curve in production and the 8-12 million dollar range of drilling ha wells, and was wondering if royalty payments ever kick in or is production mostly covering the cost of the drilling company?
If you signed a lease, the payments usually start 60 to 90 days after the well is turned to sales regardless of the of the well payout status. If your an UMI then, yeah, you wait.
I would like to know also. There is a site on the www.tylernewspaper.com that you can look up on Sundays and get the latest from Shelby County on that site. It is usually listed (2 listings) after midnight on Saturday/Sunday morning.
