A business associate of mine has received a pre-application notice from Dep. of Conservation for unitizing of Sec. 20, T7N-R11W, Sabine Parish, and specifies the Haynesville zone. The named operator is Petrohawk. This is less than 1mile from the Many city limits.

He has not been contacted by Petrohawk or anyone associated with them at this time. Any information on what offers others may have received in the area would be of great interest.

I think this is the furthest south that a Haynesville unitization permit has been sought.

It would indeed be a significant extension south and the first HA Drilling & Production unit in a 7N township. I suspect that you are referring to a pre-conference notice letter from the legal firm representing Petrohawk. The first step in securing a public hearing date before the Commission in Baton Rouge. If you could post a copy of the letter or at least the plat, it would be of interest to a lot of members whose minerals are in the southern reaches of the Play. Regardless, thanks for the heads up. As to recent offers in the area, I suggest that you also post the news to the Main Page.
The land owner of the proposed drill site has already been contacted by petrohawk informing him that they plan to drill a well on his property. This is great news for the Many area lets all hope things go well.
Whoa! A good well there would open things up to the pendleton bridge.
Some of us in Sabine County are watching Sabine Parish for exactly that reason. Lease offers and unitization moving south in Sabine Parish should be posted on the Main Page for that reason if no other, IMO.
is this north, south east or west of many? what highway? etc......
olddog. It appears to be about three miles due west of Many. Maybe a little closer.
This well is said to be on Shuteye Rd - about 1 mile north of Many - I have heard it is a Petrohawk well - no prep work yet . . .
The Hawk is alive and well leasing in sabine, they are focusing on much tighter areas but are highly competitive.
Shaleeee. This is a pre-application unit notice. Not a well. And Section 20 is west of Many. Let us know more about the Petrohawk well you mention when the pad is built.
Actually Shuteye Road is north of Hwy 6 just across the railroad tracks coming out of Many
The subject of the discussion is the unit application for Section 20-7N-11W.
Trust me on this one Skip - this is a well in the making , , , but i will mention unitization is in the works too - but the well to be is a done deal
