OK, I thought long and hard before posting this because you guys all know that I make a point of NOT pushing anyone who doesn't already use H&R Block in that direction on this site. So, Keith, if you want to take this down you won't hurt my feelings at all. That said, I have been reading back through some older posts and some newer ones have brought up old subjects.
So, one time only Block push here. H&R Block offers a new product this year called the "Second Look". We will review any tax return from 2005-2008 for a fee of $29 per return. If it is right we put the Block stamp of approval and gurantee on it. If it needs fixing, we will go over it with you and explain the problems and tell you up front how much it will cost to fix it, then let you choose.
You can either drop your things off and we will call you when they are done. Or set up an appointment with someone for the review. The more complicated your taxes are the more experienced a person you should ask for. A H&R Block Premium office gurantees you a senior Tax Professional.
You can call your local H&R Block office or call me at 318-747-2126. Again, this is the only time you will see me plug any type of H&R Block services that cost any money. But I thought it was necessary. Here is a link with all the info.

have yall handled a lot of bonuses & royalties type filings?
I know I've done tons of them in my office and the other offices call me with questions all the time, so I assume they are seeing just as many. Most are smallish bonuses, but I've seen several in the mid to high six figures.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
