Whiting Petroleum is presenting today at the Bank of America/Merrill Lynch Leveraged Finance Conference in Boca Raton, FL. Possibly might be some discussion of their interest in the LSBD in Claiborne Parish... Link to the presentation which is today at 3:50PM eastern time is in the link below. I won't be able to listen live - if anyone else can listen and post highlights I'm sure we'd all appreciate it.

Mathew, I wouldn't expect any mention of the Brown Dense by WLL as it is too early in their exploration effort. If you wish to review the latest presentation use this link and click on 12/4/13 Key Banc Investor Tour. It contains no mention of the Brown Dense. There is however the slim possibility that an analyst could ask a question in the Q&A portion of the conference interviews which would be in the webcast.

There are two webcasts. One live today and one available for replay from yesterday.
Whiting's presentation to the Bank of America/Merrill Lynch Leveraged Finance Conference was actually yesterday (Dec. 3). I listened, and there was no specific mention of the Brown Dense, just a couple of brief references to three new oil plays they have in the works. The audio replay is available by following the links at Whiting's website.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
