I am currently under 3 year lease with GEP. It expires early next year. Some of the other owners in my section have received a lease extension check. Some of the other owner's property butts right up next to mine. It's been several weeks and I have not received any correspondence from GEP at all. My question is: Is it common for a gas company to extended leases on some of the property in a section but not all property in the same section ?

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
