Listening to Southwestern Energy's conference call. They repeatedly referred to "St. Augustine" county. (I guess I don't have much to do today if I post about something like this)

I know. It irks me when I hear that, also. Can't do anything about it except rationalize. San is spanish for saint so very, very technically speaking, St. Augustine is not so bad. At least they know it's Texas and not Florida (I hope). LOL, wouldn't that be funny if some oil & gas company found shale gas in the middle of Tampa!
My retort is always "There are not Saints in Texas!". i.e. no St. Antonio, no St. Angelo, etc.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
