This question is for anyone who may be able to answer my question. I noticed that Petrohawk filed for permit today Bowers, 2miles NW Tenaha. Is there a way for me to find out what properties are included in that unit? It said 187acres and is in a unit but I don't know we could possibly be part of that one or not. If someone is part of a unit but not the drill site, would they know about this? When does one find out if they are in fact part of a unit that has a well going up? Sorry, I know this info is probably here somewhere but I couldn't find it...Thanks!

Laurie, Petrohawk has previously drilled this same well and did not get good results. Apparently, they are going back in on the same well to try to get a different result (hopefully better). If you want to know the specific mineral owners in the unit, look at the permit page on the RRC drilling permit query. After selecting the Bowers permit, scroll down to the bottom and click on the link for the P-12. That is the pooling certificate that will list the mineral owners and their acreage in the unit. Hope this helps. I'm hopeful that Petrohawk will continue the exploration of the acreage in our area. Good luck.

Thank you very much...I will check the link...Laurie
Would you know anything about the William Nail Survey near Tenaha?
Laurie, if you went through a Landsman to get your lease, he/she may be able to tell you what unit you are in. Also, if you can contact the "right" person in the company that is drilling, they will be able to tell you if you are in that particular unit. I found out who the "right" person was by going to the company (the company was not Petrohawk) and played around with the website and finally just e-mailed the "Interest Owner Relations" department and found someone that could help me. I have been able to keep in contact with this person off and on for several months now. However, not much is happening so he really can't tell me much right now.
Also, the company that is drilling the well, may get a "division order" for your property.....I know our drilling company (the well is now capped off) was in the process of getting a "division order" for our property. However, when the economy went south they evidently decided to wait on getting it to us because we have not heard any more about their getting the division order for us to sign. Supposedly, the "division order" is something legal that says that you actually own the land in question and that there is no one else claiming to own the property.
The best of luck to you.
I am not sure, but it looks like to me that they are just amending their previous permit per request of the Texas Railroad Commission. Looks like they planned on drilling a horizontal and for whatever reason they did not. The RRC required them to make their permit in line with what actually happened.

It does not appear that they are drilling another well. If it was a recompletion, I think they would say that.

I could be wrong in all of this, but thats what I see.
