Damage Done to our Farm House

Hopefully none of you had such damage last week. Fortunately, my brother & sister-in-law and my niece were asleep in the other wing of the home and are safe.

Everyone is safe. It actually looks better in the photo than it actually is. The tree caved in the roof/ceiling to 3 feet off the floor. 1/2 the house will basically be rebuilt and it shifted the whole house. My poor brother and sister in law are trying to find temporary housing.

I'm sure glad to hear everyone escaped harm.  Houses can be repaired... if they are still standing when the storm passes. I hope the damage was not too extensive.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
