Initiatives at LSUS and the Oil and Gas Industry

We are very excited about the Haynesville Shale and all it has in store for our future.

We will be offering a Certificate in Petroleum Land Management in January 2009. This program is 80 hours in length but is subject to change as many advisors have asked that participants complete the Notary Public class. This program will educate and train participants at a level and speed that, upon completion, makes them immediately ready to enter the workforce. Additionally, LSUS is seeking national endorsement so that established professionals who desire to enter this field and earn extra credentials may do so. For more information about this, feel free to call me at 318-795-4215 or email me at tisha.taylor@LSUS.edu

LSUS also has in place a concentration of classes in the College of Business, degree of General Business. If you would like more information about this, please call Bridget Verret at 318-797-5383 or at bridget.verret@LSUS.edu.

Yes, all the instructors participating in this endeavor are Landmen. If I had to go on record regarding the number of years of experience they all share, I am willing to bet it is over 100.
