Shaler,
Recently, GHS announced a partnership with Wright Water Resources. The goal of our partnership is to provide knowledge and opportunities to landowners who seek to turn pond water into income and to connect the drillers with those who have water. If you didn't see the announcement of the partnership, click here to read.
Wright Water Resources will be conducting a series of informative conference call to bring us up to date on pertinent issues surrounding frac water. Each of these short teleconferences will be packed with valuable information for landowners selling water and Oil & Gas professionals who deal with water resources.
The first conference call was last Friday with Gary Hanson and dealt with surface and groundwater issues. The next conference call is this Thursday, March 17th. The topic of this one is Pond Building 101.
In "Pond Building 101", we'll cover these key points and more:
- Economics for landowners
- Should I build?
- Site selection
- Where to build?
- Soil considerations
- Hydraulic conductivity
- Watershed analysis
- Runoff and infiltration
- Pond size - How big can I build?
- Dam safety - Levee size and regulations
When: Thursday, March 17th, 12:30 to 1:30pm CDT
Who: Kurt Nixon of Nixon Engineering Solutions (more info about Kurt below).
