Hello,

I am new to the sight and the gas industry. I am trying to find out some information to assist my 82 year old mom. She gets her royalty checks that shows the money is for gas drawn from the James Lime Formation. How or does it relate to the Haynesville Shale? How big is the James Lime formation? Her property is located near the center of and most northern San Augustine county.
Thanks for your information,
Brodie Riner, Jr.

Brodie, the James Limestone is younger than and shallower than the Haynesville Shale. A view of the geologic column for East Texas can be seen at: http://www.prescocorp.com/projects/east%20texas/stratcolumn.html

I'm not familiar with the production in San Augustine county so can't say how big the field is around your mom's property but much of that information may be public & available.
