p.s. not really neg-frac or landmen.

kind of an eye opener.

movie does have interesting twists.  characters are well developed.

i do think it is important for land owners to educate themselves.

i saw it today.  story about a couple of landmen.  conflicted emotions.   doesn't really judge landmen, but does judge oil company.

interesting for a landowner like me.  i'm just learning about oil.  i see oil companies flipping $300 leases for $25k and i wonder???

if you don't mind looking like matt damon.

but, i think it will be pro-landman.   from what i've read, they really want to avoid the controversy and everyone wins.  ??

Is this an anti-landman movie?

Thanks for your comments. Here we are again. Another movie and the industry has no answer to the PR side of this.

Keith, why isn't this on the front page? I think it's important news no matter if the picture is Pro or Anti-fracking.

heritage is far right.  huff is far left.  both would have used the review to further their message.  neither did.

i don't know what it will say, but, i can't pre-judge.   i don't know what it will be.

supposedly the ending was changed when anti-fracking was discounted.  it was made into a people story or hopeful oscar consideration.   i don't think it wants to be anti if the proof isn't there.

but, who knows?

Rated R.

An anti-fracking film turned into a pro-fracking movie with an environmentalist for a villain?  BS. Hollywood would not do it like that. It's too complicated a story line.

I bet that this will be an anti-fracking movie - or at least will have the message that fracking is so dangerous that neither it's opponents nor its proponents understand fully the risks - so we should shut it down.  Oh well, might cause gas prices to rise!

Personally, I'm waiting for the movie that ties fracking to the release of demons from Hell or the Zombie Apocalypse.

I havn't heard too many people in Caddo,Desoto and Sabine parishes complaining about fracking except those who have no gas leases with production.
