Seitel Data has begun seeking permits for a 210 square mile  3D seismic survey that will include tracts in Anderson, Freestone, and Leon Counties. They’ve set up a website that provides information about the process:

My assumption is that the client is Expand. The schedule indicates that the survey will not be completed until November 2026. Now that Expand has finished drilling their first Western Haynesville well in Houston County, what will they do next?

In addition to Expand (CHK), Mitsui and Comstock may be partially underwriting this 3D project.

I estimate $50 to $60,000 per square mile to do this project from permitting thru acquisition and processing.
